The New Site Is Live!
HAHAHAHA! It LIVES!!!
That's right! I locked in and was able to get this new site up before we even touched the start of spring! I had been working on this slowly in between work and daily errands, but then I got a big boost of energy in the middle of February and finished the whole thing in a matter of weeks.
Now, some notes:
- If the site looks a bit crap that is not my fault! That's your cache, which might still have the old style sheet saved to it. Trust if you blast your cache (at least for this site, you don't need to blast the whole thing unless you want to), you will see what the site it actually supposed to look like. Alternatively you can just open the site in a private window and get the same effect. Everyone's browser cache resets at a different times, so I cannot tell you all when you'll be able to see the site with its proper stylings without a blasting, but you know what to do if you want to see it sooner than later.
- I've only got one chapter completely alt texted and transcribed (Act 1 - Chapter 1). I plan to do the rest of them bit by bit over this year and probably into the next. If I can focus I might be able to get one comic done every two weeks, but with just living my life and the sheer size of some of these chapters it might look more like every one to two months. I'm working from almost nothing here, since the old Star Trip site had next to no accessibility tools to speak of, so I hope I can be granted some grace with this slow process.
- The hover text is gone from all the comic pages. I plan to add it all back in eventually, since people seemed to really like them, but likely not before I've gotten through a good chunk of alt text and transcription.
- I might still be doing some coding touch ups here and there for the site, so don't be too surprised if something suddenly looks a bit different without warning. I've finally been allowed into the guts of this thing and I am wrigglin around >:3
- Chapter 11 of Act 2 is GONE. I did have a handful of pages done and posted to the old site, but since I have plans to now just do a big chapter drop once I've finshed the thing I didn't want to leave it up half done. I also have plans to go over some of those recently finished pages, since I really didn't like how they looked and want to fix some panelling and art issues I had with them. The old pages are still up on my Patreon for all paying patrons to see, so they aren't completely gone from the internet.
With the site finally updated and the whole archive uploaded I can now move on to working on the comic again. I still plan... hope to get Chapter 11 done and posted to this site before the end of spring, but there is always a chance that I might have to bump that back a bit what with life stuff. I also need to finish the script lol. Pls don't whack me! I had the outline done long ago along with all the rest of the comic already finished!! I just needed to write the dialogue. But things got busy and I was feeling a bit disillusioned with my writing and the state of just sharing art on the internet. I just didn't wanna! Well! Now I wanna! I'm gonna!! Especially now that I have a bit more control over things.
Patrons will get batches of completed pages before I toss the whole thing on here, so if anyone reading wants to keep up with the comic as a bit of slow drip then go toss me a couple bucks to access it. I also might post some sneak peeks here on this blog, which I will share though the RSS feed, so follow that RSS feed.
