The Cast

This is a primer on the different characters that show up in the comic. Profiles will be added as new characters are introduced.

"Alien Fam"

These are the protagonists of the comic, starting with the two leads Jas and Khut, who then become part of an ensemble cast once they meet up with Kese and start living on her ship "The Prosposis."

Jas

Species: Human
Age: Early 20s
Pronouns: She/Her (They/Them)

Jas is a human who has been taken on a galaxy spanning adventure after finding and then freeing a shapeshifting alien from a glowing net while on her way home from her former job. Though Jas wanted to leave the mess of her old life behind, she would have liked a warning first.

Khut

Species: Unknown
Age: OLD
Pronouns: They/Them

The aforementioned shapeshifting alien. Khut seems to be on the run from someone (or something) and wants to keep Jas close to them in case any trouble arises. They are very standoffish around to new individuals, and even has a difficult time opening up to Jas.

Sanna

Species: Settian
Age: Mid 20s
Pronouns: They/Them or She/Her

Also known as a the Crimson Flash, Sanna is a light craft racer who has an impressive win streak and a notorious habit of toeing the line of foul play. They have a cool affect that has managed to charm Jas.

Garatcha Kese

Species: Gak
Age: Late 30s
Pronouns: She/Her

Kese is a Gak, a species that has been pigeon holed by the majority of the galactic community into the roles of miners. Kese pushes back against this and wants to show that she and her kind are so much more through her inventions and general tech prowess.

Dizzy

Species: Ydian
Age: 3000+ years
Pronouns: She/Her

Dizzy is an ancient android and Kese's partner in both work and romantically. Dizzy's calm and level personality makes her the perfect contrast to Kese's more energetic and sometimes combative nature, but that doesn't mean Dizzy has no troubles of her own.

OdoZun

Species: DerjiKhan
Age: Mid Teens
Pronouns: They/Them (plural)

OdoZun hails from the planet Derjikha. They are a ranger and in line to become the leader of their village, but what they truly crave is to see the wider galaxy.

Khudran

Species: TBA
Age: between 1 and 1000+ years
Pronouns: It/Its or They/Them (plural)

Khudran was once a piece of Khut that they gave to Jas to act as a way for the shapeshifter to keep track of their travelling companion. As it turns out this piece of goo has a mind of its own and intends to share it with Khut.

The Taikese Tracking Team

The antagonists of the comic, so to speak. They are the group chasing down Khut, but they have their own internal dramas to deal with in between all that chasing. The travel on their old ship "The Drosa."

Vron

Species: Taikese (Zur)
Age: Late 40s
Pronouns: He/Him

He is the leader of the Taikese Tracking Team, tasked with capturing and bringing a certain shapeshifter back to his homeworld of Taikos. He is not all that happy about being stuck on this assignment, and has the bad habit of taking it out on his crew.

Ajo

Species: Taikese (Taimese)
Age: Late 20s
Pronouns: No Preference

Ajo is the Tracking Team's top gunner and a fright to meet on the battlefield. They are insubordinate and regularly picking fights with Vron. She's just as unhappy about being stuck out on this mission as her commander, but is more inclined to take it in stride. He and Malik have become buddies, despite the troubles.

Malik

Species: Taikes (Arwe)
Age: Early 20s
Pronouns: He/Him

Malik is the youngest member of the tracking team and the least experienced as just a cadet. He prefers to avoid combat, working with non-lethal equipment like his net-spears. He is quite scared of the shapeshifter, but arguably worse things wait for him back home.

All the Rest

All the other characters that drift in and out of the leads' lives with varying degrees of impact.

Abrak Yuun

Species: Rashi
Age: Mid 20s
Pronouns: They/Them

Yuun is the Pop Diva Royalty of the Arm or Resh (if you didn't know). Beloved by all, feared by anyone who tries to lift their intellectual property or public image. Though if they become infatuated with you in turn you've made a inextricable friend.

Ro

Species: Rashi
Age: Late 20s
Pronouns: She/Her

Ro is one of Yuun's longtime bodyguards. She's the strong, severe, and silent type. May or may not have a thing for Yuun. She keeps it professional though.

Madar

Species: Rashi
Age: Late 20s
Pronouns: They/Them

Madar is Ro's twin sibling and is a little less serious about their job as Yuun's bodyguard. They will not hesitate to tell Yunn about how much of a fool they are acting.

Kagra

Species: Taikese (Arwe)
Age: Late 20s
Pronouns: She/Her

Kagra is a Taikese noble, a newly minted General in service to the Taikese Empire (Public Relations Devision) and Ajo's long time partner. Kagra does everything in her power to protect the few people she loves, and chases power for their sake. Oftentimes though she feels it just isn't enough.

Addik

Species: Taikese (Arwe)
Age: Early 50s
Pronouns: He/Him

Addik is The Lead Science Officer of the Imperial Army of Taikos and Vron's husband, unofficially. He has been interested in the shapeshifter for many years, since learning some classified information about its past.

Rayth Hanar

Species: Rashi
Age: Early 20s
Pronouns: She/Her

Rayth is a Champion under permanent employ of the Gilded Stage on Thredach. She and Jas seemed hit it off after their battle. She's also quite fond of Sanna.
